You can time skip to little moments like her first day of school and Dan misses the kid and he wants to keep (I'll use the pronoun she for the kid but any pronoun goes) And Dan doesn't want her to go. and her going to grandmas so the boys have a break, and then making a live show with her and doing silly things with her.

and all those moments in between Like her first crush, date, bully, achievement, her first Painting and Dan can hang them up and be really proud and Dan can walk in on Phil dressed as her pet lion and pretending she's at a zoo and Dan laughing

Okay that is the best thing I've heard. I might do it as a series or short writings of that makes sense
