see in my mind ive always seen him as the most kind person in Star Wars and sometimes I think people call him heartless because his heart has been ripped out of him so many times there's just not much left. and you're right every time someone he cared about died he was there watching it. it's really tragic, Obi-Wan's story. he's had every thing he cared for ripped from him time and time again and yet he still is able to keep caring only for the lives of others

what really hurts is how much Anakin hated him at the end. I mean I really think that when Anakin "died" and became Vader, Obi-Wan died to I mean really the only thing he had left was luke. and that's really heart breaking because even when there was nothing left in him, the only thing that kept him going wasn't hope for himself but hope for the galaxy. he's just such a sweet guy.
